Confirmation is received by children in 8th or 9th grade after two years of preparation in Religious Education classes. Adult Confirmation classes are also available.


Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
The process of welcoming new members to the Catholic Church.
It is intended for adults who have never been baptised, or for adults who have
been baptized Christian and now wish to practice the faith in the Catholic tradition.
It is an ongoing process of formation, catechesis and liturgical rites.
Anyone interested should call the Parish Office for an appointment.


Marriage preparation starts with an appointment with the priest or deacon a minimum of 6 months in advance. Either the bride or groom should be a registered participating parishioner. The Archdioceses of Washington, Arlington, and Baltimore provide pre-Cana classes.


Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick is offered twice a year at Mass and by appointment with the priest.

Reconciliation is available Saturdays, 3:00 to 3:50 PM and by appointment with a priest (call 202-234-8000).
